Mana village is locate near Badrinath temple. It's a beautiful 3kms walk from Badrinath Temple. You can walk there in about 30 minutes, or if you're not in the mood for walking, take a taxi ride. Fun fact - you'll be visiting India's last village before Tibet!
Yes, The water stays pretty hot even when it's freezing outside. Just be careful though - I learned the hard way that it's seriously hot (around 55°C). But trust me, that warm dip feels heavenly in cold weather!
From our experience, aim for May to October. I tried going in December once, and the path was completely snowed in! The falls look stunning after the rains - you should see how powerful the water gets!
Just keep it respectful. I usually go with full pants and a regular shirt. My mom wears a simple salwar kameez when she visits. Skip the shorts and tank tops and you'll be fine.

Not gonna lie - it's a bit of a workout! It's about 5 km of walking uphill from Mana. My sister, who rarely exercises, managed it with a few breaks. Just take it slow and carry water. My grandparents sat this one out though.
You'll find plenty of small shops near the temple and in Mana Village. I loved the hot Maggi at this tiny shop in Mana - perfect after the cold weather! Pro tip: pack some snacks and water for the Vasundhara Falls trek.
The woollens are amazing! I got this super warm shawl last time - the local ladies make them. Also grabbed some rajma (kidney beans) - they taste way better than what we get in the city. Oh, and don't miss the local handicrafts!
Pretty much everywhere except inside the main Badrinath Temple. I got some amazing shots of the falls and Mana Village. Just remember to be mindful around the temples - not everyone likes cameras in their face while praying!
