Arrive at Haridwar Railway Station before 7:00 AM. Our representative will meet you at the station and provide a detailed briefing about your trip and the journey ahead.
- After settling in, we will begin our first day journey of Char dham yatra towards Janki Chatti.

The total distance from Haridwar to Janki Chatti is 250 km, and the journey will take approximately 7-8 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Key Stop – Kampty Fall: On the way, we will pass through the scenic hill station of Mussoorie. This charming town offers a pleasant break with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery, making it an ideal stop before continuing the journey.

We will begin the day early in the morning from Janki Chatti. Our destination is the Yamunotri Trekking Gate, which marks the starting point of the trek to Yamunotri Temple.
- You can choose to either trek to Yamunotri Temple or use available transportation options like ponies, palanquins, or mules (which can be booked at the government office) if you prefer not to walk. You can refer our blog on ponies, palquis and mules rate for Kedarnath to know more about it.

Trekking to Yamunotri Temple
If you choose to trek, the journey will take approximately 4-5 hours, including time for darshan (worship) at the temple. The trek is considered easy to moderate, with gradual ascents and beautiful views of the mountains and river.

After breakfast, we will begin our journey early in the morning to visit the Gangotri Temple, which is the second prime temple in our char dham yatra package.
- The distance from Uttarkashi to Gangotri is approximately 100 km, and the journey will take about 3 hours

The road to Gangotri takes you through picturesque landscapes, including lush valleys, forested hills, views of the Bhagirathi River and will pass through the wold famous Harsil valley. You will experience the tranquility and beauty of the mountains along the way.

The Gangotri Temple is revered as the origin of the holy River Ganga. It is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva received the Ganga in his matted hair and controlled her flow to protect Earth from flooding.

The journey to Guptkashi takes you through winding roads in the Himalayan foothills, offering scenic views of lush valleys, rivers, and mountains. On the way we will cover Dhari Devi temple and two out of panch prayags i.e. Dev prayag and Rudraprayag. We will make occasional stops for tea and rest.

The journey begins early in the morning. We will transfer the group to Sonprayag by vehicle. This marks the beginning of the journey towards Kedarnath.
Route Overview
- Guptkashi to Sonprayag:- The first leg of the journey is a 30 km drive, which may be slow and bumpy due to the road conditions.

Sonprayag to Gaurikund: From Sonprayag, we will take a government taxi for a 5 km drive to Gaurikund. This road is steep and winding, ascending from 2,936 ft to 6,502 ft.
- Gaurikund to Kedarnath: From Gaurikund, we will begin the 16 km trek to Kedarnath. The trek starts with a gradual ascent, offering scenic views of the Mandakini River. As we approach Rambara Bridge, the terrain becomes steeper, but it gradually eases towards the final part of the trek. The last 1.5 km is flat, making it a relatively easy walk to the Kedarnath Temple.

Today is the day for darshan at Kedarnath! Please be ready by 4:00 AM to ensure you are in the queue for the temple.
- After darshan, we will visit the Bhairav nath Temple, located 800 meters from Kedarnath Temple. The first 600 meters of this trek are steep, so be prepared for a bit of a challenge.

After returning from the Bhairav Baba Temple, we will enjoy a light breakfast before beginning our descent to Gaurikund.
- The return trek to Gaurikund is easier and more gradual, taking less time than the uphill trek.
- Once we reach Gaurikund, we will take a taxi back to Sonprayag.
- From Sonprayag, we will continue our journey back to Guptkashi for an overnight stay.

Chopta Tungnath Trek :
- From Chopta, we will trek 3.5 km to Tungnath, passing through lush meadows with stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
- Tungnath is one of the heighest shiva temple and is part of panch kedar temples. Other temples of Panch kedar circuit are Kedarnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheshwar and Kalpeshwar.
- At Tungnath temple, forelimbs of lord shiva in the form of bull is being worshipped as shivlinga.
- Once at Tungnath, you will enjoy panoramic views of snow-covered mountains and dense forests.
- After descending to Chopta, we will continue our journey to Badrinath.
- The last leg of the journey offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and rivers as we approach Badrinath

If time permits, we will stop by Mana Village, located 4 km from Badrinath. This village offers a chance to explore the local culture and traditional lifestyle and is well known as the first village of India.
- The return journey will follow the same route, passing through Rudraprayag and retracing the path from Guptkashi.
- The journey will take approximately 9-10 hours, bringing us back to Haridwar in the evening.
